Why I'm building YapApply

A year ago I was laid off and applying for jobs, and I ended up building a version of this for myself. Every resume tool I tried wanted finished bullet points. None of them asked the questions that pull the stories out.

Then someone close to me, moving from restaurant management into office work, hit the same wall: years of real wins, and almost none of it making it onto the page. So I turned what I'd built for myself into a tool anyone can use.

It asks, it listens, and it writes only from what you said. If you didn't say it, it isn't on your resume. It's early, and I'm making it better every week.

How it works

  1. Bring what you haveUpload your resume and the PDF LinkedIn makes of your profile. YapApply sorts your jobs and schooling into one place.
  2. Yap about each jobType or talk. The coach asks follow-up questions and keeps every story in your career bank.
  3. Drop in a job postingPaste the posting or its link. YapApply works out what the employer wants and asks about anything missing.
  4. Get your resume and cover letterYour best stories, picked and written for that job. Edit anything, then download a PDF, Word file, Google Doc or plain text.

What YapApply promises

Nothing made up

Every line comes from something you told it, and a check flags any number that didn't come from you. You can edit every line before you download it.

Your words stay yours

What you write is never used to train an AI model unless you give a separate yes. Download or delete everything at any time. The privacy policy has the details.

You decide what goes out

It writes. It never submits an application or sends a message for you. If you talk, only the text is kept, never the recording.

Priced for people looking for work

Pricing isn't set yet. It will be set with the cost of being out of work in mind, because nobody should lose access to YapApply over the price. You'll never pay to download a resume you made, every AI action will show its cost before it runs, and cancelling will be as easy as signing up.
